Local favorite Zack Seemiller brings his long-awaited tribute to Harry Chapin, a singer-songwriter who influenced dozens of modern and folk musicians, for a one night only event at the Historic Armory. Join us as we celebrate Chapin and his music, as well as his hard fought campaign against hunger and homeless concerns. In honor of Harry Chapin, and in support of hunger relief in the Keys, we're asking audience members to bring canned goods, non-perishable items, or a small donation to the Armory. Don't miss this special Thanksgiving event and Zack Seemiller's tribute, Harry Chapin's Last Concert.

FKCC Keys Chorale 2009 Holiday Concert
FKCC Keys Chorale 2009 Holiday Concert - Dec. 4, 2009, 8pm; Dec. 5, 2pm. This annual event will feature the Magnificat by Monteverdi, and Laud to the Nativity by Respighi. The second half of the concert will feature holiday favorites for the entire family.
Tickets for Friday night are $30 for reserved seating, and $20 for general admission. For the Saturday matinee tickets are $20 (general admission only).

The Studios of Key West Presents OLD TOWN NEW FOLK CONCERTS
Tom Prasada-Rao burst on the scene in 1992 and has not let up since. He's won awards, played major music festivals with many of his heroes, and headlined at singer-songwriter venues across the country. Tom was born in Ethiopia of Indian parents, and educated in England, the US, and India, and his music reflects that diversity-blending pop melodies with R&B rhythms and finely crafted lyrics into his acoustic guitar. He's been called a singer-songwriter of breathtaking vision. In addition to producing, he's a teacher at White Rock Montessori in Dallas. He taught for eight years at The University of Virginia where he created the songwriting curriculum. Jim Bessman of Billboard Magazine, raves: Visually and musically, Tom is the most compelling presence to emerge in the singer-songwriter genre as I've seen in a long time.

Bobby in the Lobby - Season 4
Pianist/singer Bobby Nesbitt has been a cabaret performer for thirty years and to mark the occasion, he has put together a cabaret series this season at Tennessee Williams Theatre's Grand Foyer. Based on the popular "Lyrics and Lyricists" series in New York, Nesbitt has created three shows highlighting three of the giants of the Great American Songbook. Perfectly suited to these performances, Tennessee Williams Theatre's Cabaret Theatre is well-appointed with linen-covered bistro tables for four and candlelight as well as general admission seating. Full bar service is available.
Home for the Holidays

Our soloists, both vocal and instrumental, will be former Pops and KeysKids alumni who have continued with their performance studies in college and beyond and who literally are home for the holidays. Starring Clinton Curtis, Daniel Curtis, Ralph Garcia, Stephanie Leone, Lina Robles, Carmen Rodriguez, Earl & Elizabeth Halbe and featuring Joe Lowe on the magnificent St. Paul's pipe organ. An orchestra complements the evening's mix of styles from Baroque to Pop to The Great American Songbook.

Guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter Peter Mayer has melded a unique and eclectic writing style, a distinctive voice, and virtuoso musicianship to create truly compelling music. Well known in Key West, his live performances are always electrifying and magical. Mayer brings influences from his childhood in Tamilnadu, India — as well as his love of jazz guitar, rock, and his many years of being the lead guitarist for Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefers. Mayer has shared the stage with James Taylor, Mac McAnally, Sonny Lanreth, Don Henley, and many others.

The Tennessee Williams Encore Series presents the incomparable Lily Tomlin in her one-woman show, An Evening of Classic Lily Tomlin. Tomlin will perform a combination of her insightful and funny stand-up along with excerpts that feature some of her classic characters. The audience will delight in seeing Edith Ann, Ernestine, Madame Lupe, Marie, RL Beach and others. And you won't want to miss her take on local and current events. She's always on the mark with a delivery that's astute, to the point and exceedingly funny.

My Fair Lady in Concert
Key West Pops Orchestra It's been called "the perfect musical." Lerner and Loewe's hit musical is a show filled with all of those hummable melodies that were on everyone's lips when it first premiered in the 1950's. Key West's own Mike Mulligan is the inimitable Henry Higgins. David Black is Doolittle. Laura Shofner, veteran of Sol Fest and Donna Roll's Graduate Vocal Program, plays Eliza the cockney flower-girl transformed into a duchess. Jack Agnew, Bruce Moore, Elizabeth Halbe, Scott Zimmerman, Marjorie Shook, Linda Greenberg and Dean Walters round out the cast. Direction by Donna Roll. Musical Direction by Vincent Zito. American Ballet Theatre II
ABT II, under the direction of Wes Chapman, is an elite classical dance company of 13 young dancers of outstanding potential. Hailed by The New York Times as "One of the great dance success stories in recent years . . ." ABT II prepares young dancers to enter American Ballet Theatre as well as other professional ballet companies. ABT II’s varied repertoire mirrors the traditions of ABT, featuring classical ballet and contemporary works by new and established choreographers. Now in its fifteenth season, ABT II brings the excitement and energy of this burgeoning professional company to theaters throughout the country.
ABT II is presented in Key West by Paradise Ballet Theatre Presenters, producer of Nutcracker Key West. These ABT II performances are fundraisers to benefit the return of Nutcracker Key West in 2010.
